The 2024 Roadmap to Shared Prosperity is Here!

1024 576 CA FWD

CA FWD is excited to announce the launch of the 2024 Roadmap to Shared Prosperity, which outlines the important work we are helping advance through the California Economic Summit network, which includes regional partners from the California Stewardship Network (CSN), our Young Leaders Advisory Council (YLAC), and cross-sector partners throughout the state.

The Roadmap is our annual document that outlines how we are convening and collaborating to advance policies, programs, and practices that help create a more prosperous and equitable future for California.

The action areas covered in this year’s Roadmap include:

  • Education Cradle to Career
  • Housing For All
  • Thriving Economies
  • Connecting California
  • Ecosystems & Climate Resiliency

The priorities outlined in the Roadmap encompass areas of top concern for CA FWD and our partners. Here are some of the priorities our work groups have identified this year. Note: this is a partial list—see the full Roadmap for a comprehensive list of all our priorities:

Education Cradle to Career: Build public/private partnerships (coalitions that engage multiple entities within communities) to create equitable talent pipelines and education/workforce and industry high road partnerships

Housing and Homeownership: Reduce governmental barriers that increase the cost of building housing in order to produce enough homes to meet the housing needs of all Californians

Entrepreneurship and Small Business Ownership by Women and People of Color: Identify barriers to equitable small business participation in the state’s economy and leverage state policy and regional practice to foster greater inclusion

Broadband for All: Create opportunities for coalition-building and cooperation across sectors to elevate innovative ways to close the digital divide and support the development of policies that ensure that broadband investments are implemented swiftly, efficiently and equitably across California

Economic Prosperity in a Changing Climate: Promote and raise awareness of collaboration across climate and economic development stakeholders and across state and federal economic and climate programs

We are excited to share more about our priorities and their progress, throughout the year and at our 2024 California Economic Summit in Stockton October 8-10!
