The work, from action team members and regional leaders, of the California Economic Summit has not gone unnoticed. In fact, word in Sacramento has spread. So much so, nearly a dozen legislators attended the second annual Summit held in Los Angeles.
The Summit is an unprecedented gathering of business leaders, nonprofits, community leaders, educators, economic developers and more honing in on seven signature initiatives—capital, infrastructure, housing, working lands, advancing manufacturing, regulations and workforce.
California Forward spoke to a number of legislators.
Senate President pro Tempore Darrell Steinberg offered his thoughts on how the Summit will help him advance his goals and priorities and what the biggest priority for rebooting the California economy is.
