Like many people, California has a New Year’s resolution: continue to be the lead job creator in the nation. If last year was any indication, California may be able to keep this resolution.
In the last 12 months, the state lead the nation in private job sector creation with 295,000 jobs, number one overall in the country.
But many companies have jumped ship and left the Golden State for other states or other countries. And a recent New York Times series on business incentives raised the question about governments getting their monies’ worth when they rolled back taxes for companies.
Kish Rajan was appointed Director of GO-Biz in September 2012. His office is charged with streamlining services for business leaders and enhancing job creation, economic development and international trade.
California Forward recently caught up with the GO-Biz director and asked how California can boost its game competing nationally and internationally.
