Tyson Jue
Tyson Jue currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Acting Chief Executive Officer of the East Bay Community Foundation (EBCF), where he provides leadership across operations, strategy, and governance. With 20 years of experience in the public sector and nonprofit organizations, Tyson has strengthened institutions, guided transitions, and advanced equity-centered impact.
In his dual role at EBCF, Tyson oversees core operational functions including human resources, facilities, information technology, and board engagement, while aligning day-to-day operations with long-term strategic priorities. As Acting CEO, he works with the Board of Directors and senior leadership to ensure continuity, accountability, and mission alignment during a period of organizational change. He has modernized systems and embedded data-informed decision-making to enhance effectiveness.
Prior to joining EBCF, Tyson held senior leadership roles across county agencies and community-based organizations, including serving as Chief Operating Officer of FIRST 5 Santa Clara County, Chief of Staff at First 5 Alameda County, and Deputy Director of Administration at the Chinatown Community Development Center. His career reflects a deep commitment to community development, early childhood education, and public-private collaboration. Tyson holds graduate degrees from the University of Chicago and
earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Davis.
