Carlos Montes
Carlos Montes joined Imperial Valley Economic Development Corporation (IVEDC) in 2023, where he plays a key role in driving regional growth and bridging the digital divide. Working closely with executive leadership on RFP submittals and strategic initiatives, Carlos serves as a link between economic opportunity and community need.
As an advocate for digital equity, Carlos supports the Southern Border Broadband Consortium (SBBC) and Imperial Regional Alliance to provide essential digital literacy training and hardware to underserved residents. His expertise spans grant writing and reporting for major programs including California Jobs First, the USDA Rural Energy for America Program (REAP), and the Employment Training Panel Multiple Employer Contract.
Carlos holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on International Business from California State University, Long Beach. Combining a technical foundation in computer science with a passion for public service, he is committed to building a resilient and connected future for Imperial County.
