Yuan Yang
Schneider FellowYuan Yang is a Master of Science candidate in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Stanford University, specializing in energy systems and climate solutions. Prior to Stanford, she worked in utility resource planning for North Carolina’s electric cooperatives, supporting long-term resource planning. Her work included generation modeling and exploring pathways to achieve decarbonization goals while maintaining grid reliability and affordability.
At Stanford, her research spans life cycle assessment, battery energy storage optimization, and energy-efficient building design. As a Fellow at California Forward, she supports work on carbon accounting methodologies that can drive decarbonization. Outside of work, Yuan enjoys hiking, playing tennis, and staying connected to local communities.
