priya v. graduated from Yale University with a degree in Ethnicity, Race, and Migration and Foothill College with degrees in Sociology and Social Justice Studies. They started their career at the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office, where they currently serve as a Legislative Analyst overseeing policy areas such as climate, technology/AI, and law enforcement.

As a former community college transfer student and student leader, priya is passionate about higher education policy that ensures equitable access to education. In their free time, priya enjoys writing letters to friends, dancing, learning about ocean creatures, and exploring the Sacramento punk scene.
