Fabiola Moreno Ruelas
Fabiola Moreno Ruelas currently serves as a Renewable Energy and Manufacturing Organizer for IBEW 569, where she plays a pivotal role in advancing union growth and advocating for workers’ rights in the renewable energy and manufacturing sectors. With a strong background in legislative work, Fabiola draws on her years of experience in policy development across agriculture, jobs and economic development, labor, and binational affairs.
Fabiola began her career as a Jesse M. Unruh Assembly Fellow, a prestigious program that led to her role as a Legislative Aide to Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia. During her two years at the Capitol, Fabiola successfully passed seven bills focused on healthcare, housing rights for undocumented farmworkers, local government, and special education. Among her notable accomplishments was AB 2860, which reestablished the Licensed Physicians and Dentists from Mexico Pilot Program.
Fabiola is also the founder of the Ruelas Fulfillment Foundation, whose mission is to help students continue their education after high school by awarding scholarships. She has raised over $35,000 in recent years and has helped others establish their scholarship funds.
A first-generation college graduate, Fabiola earned her B.A. in Political Science from San Diego State University in 2022. She grew up in the small town of Gonzales in the Salinas Valley and remains deeply connected to her community.
