Angel Pippins-Lopez
Angel Pippins-Lopez is a recent graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, where he earned a degree in Global Studies. During his time at UCLA, Angel supported faculty-led research on transparency in policing by contributing to a nationwide database of dispatch and arrest reports. He also worked with the university’s student-run newspaper, the Daily Bruin, as a Data Journalism Developer to report on capital construction projects and biodiversity on campus. Currently, he works with the Transportation & Planning team at City Heights CDC in his hometown of San Diego on initiatives that promote community-driven planning and sustainable development in the area. Angel is passionate about urban resilience, data-driven governance, and inclusive infrastructure, and he is committed to a career that empowers communities through people-centric planning.
