Michael Wiafe is an immigrant raised in the Inland Empire, current graduate student at the University of California  Berkeley Goldman School of Public Policy and a recent political science graduate of San Diego State University. He is a project assistant at the Public Policy Institute of California and former President of the Cal State Student Association, which represents all students on the 23 campuses of the California State University. He is a member of CAFWD’s Young Leaders Council, Governor Newsom’s Higher Education Recovery with Equity Task Force, and co-host of PolicyWise .  Michael is currently serving on  several other regional committees, most recently including the Inland Economic Growth and Opportunity (IEGO) strategic development collaboration. He wants to impact  policy by advancing California’s socioeconomic upward mobility pathways.
