Mehek Kandru joined California Forward in March of 2020 and has been involved in their Young Leaders Advisory Council since. She graduated high school in June of 2021 and is currently a freshman at UC Berkeley. Along with her work as part of YLAC, she is also one of the co-hosts of PolicyWise, a podcast by young leaders that focuses on intergenerational policy discussions. Her primary interest is in understanding social structures and the factors that they are a product of.
