Isaac Alferos is a member of the Young Leaders Advisory Council and Executive Director of the Black and Brown Healing project. He was appointed by Governor Newsom to serve as a student representative on the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) and work in partnership with California’s colleges, universities, financial institutions, and financial aid institutions in managing state financial aid programs. Isaac also recently served as Lobby Corps Coordinator for the Associated Students of California State University, Fullerton. In this role, he oversaw the second-highest voter registration increase across the CSU during the 2019-2020 academic year and proactively worked to educate communities on voter privilege, systemic barriers to voting for communities of color, and confronting unequal access to voting. Isaac has actively lobbied and advanced statewide legislation such as AB 1460 during his time as a social justice and equity committee member through the Cal State Student Association. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration, with a focus in finance from California State University-Fullerton.
