Trista Carter is the Regional Stewardship Manager with CA FWD, where she supports regional communities and economic development efforts, such as the Community Economic Resilience Fund (CERF) and Advancing Inclusive Regional Economies: Going Beyond CERF (AIRE).
Trista Carter has worked on various projects relating to community and economic development in Kern County. She has been a resident of Kern since 2010 and has used her skills and talents to contribute to transformational change in disadvantaged communities. Her experience in community development began at the local level and had assisted in projects at the city, county, and state level as well. Trista has held many leadership roles in the non-profit sector such as Resident Services Administrator with the Housing Authority of Kern and served as the Executive Director of the Housing and Opportunity Foundation of Kern.
Trista also serves on several local community boards such as: African American Network of Kern County, Bakersfield Women’s Business Conference, Junior League of Bakersfield, NAACP- Kings/ Tulare County and R.O.S.E. Mentorship Program. She spends her time volunteering for many organizations in the community as well to support the various causes she cares for.
