Ned Resnikoff
Fiscal Resilience Fellow

Ned Resnikoff is an analyst, researcher, journalist, and consultant with 15 years of experience navigating some of America’s most complex policy challenges. He has worked on everything from K-12 education to health care, but his primary focus is housing and overlapping areas of urban policy. In addition to his work at California Forward, Ned is currently a housing policy fellow at the Roosevelt Institute and a member of the EQ Collaborative.

Ned was previously policy director for California YIMBY and has worked as a fiscal and policy analyst for the California legislature. In addition, he is a journalist and editor with bylines in The New York Times, msnbc.com, The New Republic, The San Francisco Chronicle, and various other publications. He is currently working on a book about cities for Island Press, with an expected publication date of Fall 2026.

Ned holds a Masters in Public Policy from UC Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy.
