Founder, Avenida Advisors; Former Administrator, U.S. Small Business AdministrationThe Honorable Isabel Casillas Guzman is an entrepreneur, economic development expert, and the 27th Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration. She led the SBA through the COVID-19 crisis and economic recovery—overseeing a portfolio of $1.2T in pandemic relief programs to 7M+ small business clients, deploying a historic $220B in core SBA products, and driving historic reforms that positioned the agency for growth. Her tenure doubled small-dollar loans, achieved record small business contracting, and ushered in a new era of government tech to better serve America’s small businesses and SBA’s thousands of lenders and investors. Previously, she served as the California Small Business Advocate under Newsom and SBA Deputy Chief of Staff under Obama.
A Wharton graduate and Stanford Policy Fellow, Isabel has founded and advised multiple ventures and continues to champion entrepreneurship, innovation, and resilient economic growth. She currently serves as Chair of the Global Reputational Risk Advisory Council.
