Jose Castro Gambino

Jose Castro Gambino was born and raised in Sonoma County, the son of immigrants from Mexico and El Salvador whose journeys instilled in him a deep-rooted commitment to service and equity. He is a proud graduate of Sonoma State University, where he earned his B.A. in Human Development, and later completed his Master of Public Health at CSU San Marcos.

For the past decade, Jose has devoted his career to uplifting his community through nonprofit work, ranging from mental health advocacy to direct service. Whether supporting youth, families, or underserved populations, he approaches every role with dignity, compassion, and an unwavering belief that every person deserves the opportunity to thrive.

Grounded in love for the place that raised him, Jose continues to work toward building healthier, more equitable communities. Recently, he embraced his most meaningful role yet: becoming a father to his daughter, Alana, whose laughter, curiosity, and light inspire him every day.
