Erik Hagstrom

Erik Hagstrom is a climate and energy professional committed to advancing sustainability through policy, planning, and innovation. Raised in Menlo Park and San Diego, Erik graduated high school early to teach English in China.

He studied Political Economy at UC Berkeley with a concentration in China. As an Associate Researcher at the California-China Climate Institute, he examined fossil fuel investment loopholes between the U.S. and China. Erik has worked across climate education, energy efficiency, and nonprofit development, and he founded the first Green Revolving Fund at a California community college.

Erik currently serves as President of Street Vision AI, Associate Planner at the County of Solano, and Program and Policy Consultant at Clean Coalition. In these roles, he leads countywide energy efficiency programs, develops energy policy, supports circular economy initiatives, and contributes to research on just energy transitions. His private sector work includes computer vision model development for public good, renewables community benefit consulting, and energy policy research and recommendations. Erik brings a systems-thinking approach to climate solutions rooted in equity, innovation, and practical implementation.
