Ashley Anderson is a full-time student at the University of California Los Angeles. She is majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in African American Studies. Her policy focus area is K-12 Education. She is committed to social justice and equity. Ashely has worked with several advocacy organizations prior to joining the Young Leaders Advisory Council. She also participated in Assemblymember Blanca Rubio’s Young Legislators Program. During that time she served on the Education Committee. In her current role with YLAC, Ashley serves as one of the lead planners for the Council’s external presentations and outreach. She first stepped into this role during the planning process for the Council’s first year participating in the California Economic Summit. Her goal for her work is to create equity in the education system to ensure success for all students regardless of their background.
