An equitable California works for everyone. Investing in our regional economies and communities is a proven way to lift more Californians toward their dreams of a better tomorrow. The passage of the historic $600 million Community Economic Resilience Fund is precisely the type of investment that’s needed to help families and future generations prosper.

The Community Economic Resilience Fund, which supports the planning and implementation of regional economic strategies, is a culmination of efforts California Forward has helped lead across the state to build more equitable economies for everyone – from the Regions Rise Together partnership with the Newsom Administration to the Regions Rise Grant Program (AB 106) authored by Assemblymember Rudy Salas.

Inclusive economic development works. California Forward is strongly committed to supporting the success of equitable and sustainable development. There are many dynamic and comprehensive regional efforts underway convened by members of our California Stewardship Network like Fresno DRIVE, Inland Empire Growth & Opportunity (IEGO), Regions Rise Together: SalinasEnvision Tahoe, and the Prosperity Strategy.

California Forward applauds the State Legislature and Governor Newsom for this historic investment. We are grateful to our many partners for their commitment and support to inclusive regional economic development.
