Latino Millennials are cornerstone of young demographic in California

California remains the land of dreams for young people between the ages of 18 and 29.

Despite our struggling economy, they are optimistic—this according to a new survey released by California Forward. Here’s a breakdown of the state’s millennials: 

Latinos make up the plurality of the group at 44 percent; whites are 34 percent and 13 percent are Asian or pacific islanders. While the numbers aren’t surprising, we found that young Latinos are unique among their peers.
