If you’ve ever opened up a newspaper and read some of the political cartoons, you know it’s not just about getting a few chuckles. Those cartoons actually have a message.
Tom Meyer never aspired to be a political cartoonist. In fact, he was working on Capitol Hill for Congressman Charles Wilson. It was during that time, he decided to switch gears and Californians are glad he did.
His cartoons have appeared in many California newspapers including the San Francisco Chronicle, the Sacramento Bee, the Los Angeles Times, and the San Diego Union-Tribune. He’s also picked up numerous awards including a James Madison Freedom of Information Award.
Meyer is spending his life making sure Californians are informed so they may become engaged.
