Jennifer Lovett is Director of Public Policy for California Forward (CA FWD), a multi-partisan cross-sector steward leadership group committed to ensuring the California Dream is accessible to everyone in all of the state’s regions. In this role she assists with the development of a cohesive public policy agenda that reflects the mission of CA FWD and promotes the organization as a vehicle for change. Jennifer conducts research and policy analysis on topics including housing, workforce development, climate resiliency, and state and local financing.

Previously, Jennifer worked for the Milken Institute Center for Regional Economics where she helped lead the center’s housing policy and workforce development initiatives, co-authoring reports focused on workforce housing and equitable access to higher education and training. Jennifer is also a former Associate Advisor for Star Insights, a strategic advisory firm based in Los Angeles, where she worked with clients including the Mayor’s Fund for Los Angeles and Pomona Community Foundation delivering public affairs consulting services in strategy, public relations and navigating Los Angeles government. Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in international studies from Louisiana State University and a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Southern California.
